Kathy Samson is a Ngarluma woman. She was born in Roebourne in 1964.

Kathy paints about the Ngarluma seaside and the coast line, and she also paints about the seeds and bush tucker across the lands of the Ngarluma people. Her art is from her heart, she likes telling the stories of how she sees it through her eyes of dreaming. Kathy is a multiple award winner including the 2011 Port Hedland Art Award Judges’ Award.

Independent Artists

Kathy Samson is an independent artist – not formally aligned with a specific art centre, and whose stories, personal histories and talents are shared through creative illustration on canvas. Independent artists bring a diverse array of styles, techniques and cultural expressions to the exhibition.
