Tenellia or better known in the Community of Roebourne as “Biju” a self taught independent artist who discovered a passion for acrylic painting. Her artwork focus is primarily on what she sees around the rugged terrain of the Pilbara region and reflecting this in her own style back onto canvas.
Her strong Yindjibarndii cultural connections to country and her artwork reflects this relationship. Her painting’s tell the stories about the different plants and their uses, waterholes, animals, connections and relationships that ties back to the country.
Tenellia has completed a few commissioned pieces by local sporting associations.
Her artwork can be viewed at many local art exhibitions.
